How To Watch On Your Device

Visionary can be watched from a web browser or through a compatible Jellyfin app. Choose your device below and follow the matching setup steps.

Web Browser

The web browser is the simplest way to watch and the easiest way to confirm your account works.

Best For: Windows, Mac, Chromebook, Tablets, Phones

Steps

  1. Open your web browser.
  2. Go to https://visionaryentertainment.duckdns.org.
  3. Enter your Visionary username and password.
  4. Choose a movie, show, music library, or other available media.
  5. Press play.

Notes

  • This is the best first option if you are unsure whether your account is working.
  • If Visionary works in a browser but not on another device, the issue is probably specific to that device or app.

iPhone Or iPad

Section titled “iPhone Or iPad”

You can watch in Safari, or install a Jellyfin-compatible app from the App Store.

Apps To Search: Jellyfin, Swiftfin

Steps

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Search for Jellyfin or Swiftfin.
  3. Install the app and open it.
  4. When asked for the server address, enter https://visionaryentertainment.duckdns.org.
  5. Sign in with your Visionary username and password.
  6. Select something to watch.

Notes

  • Safari is a useful backup if the app gives you trouble.
  • Swiftfin may feel more like a dedicated video player, while Jellyfin may feel closer to the full web experience.

Android Phone Or Tablet

Android phones and tablets can use either a web browser or the Jellyfin app.

App To Search: Jellyfin

Steps

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Search for Jellyfin.
  3. Install the app and open it.
  4. Enter https://visionaryentertainment.duckdns.org as the server address.
  5. Sign in with your Visionary username and password.
  6. Select something to watch.

Best For

  • Watching away from the TV
  • Quick testing
  • Mobile playback

Fire TV Or Fire Stick

Section titled “Fire TV Or Fire Stick”

Fire TV and Fire Stick are common ways to watch Visionary on a television.

App To Search: Jellyfin

Steps

  1. Open the Appstore on your Fire TV or Fire Stick.
  2. Search for Jellyfin.
  3. Install the app and open it.
  4. Enter https://visionaryentertainment.duckdns.org as the server address.
  5. Sign in with your Visionary username and password.
  6. Choose something to watch.

Tips

  • Make sure the address starts with https://.
  • If typing with the remote is annoying, use the Fire TV mobile app as a keyboard.
  • If Fire TV cannot connect, test Visionary on a phone or computer before reporting the issue.

Roku

Section titled “Roku”

Roku setup is similar to Fire TV, but the app store and menus look different.

App To Search: Jellyfin

Steps

  1. Open the Roku Channel Store.
  2. Search for Jellyfin.
  3. Add the Jellyfin channel.
  4. Open Jellyfin.
  5. Enter https://visionaryentertainment.duckdns.org as the server address.
  6. Sign in with your Visionary username and password.
  7. Select something to watch.

Tips

  • If login fails, test your account in a web browser first.
  • If the server cannot be found, re-check the spelling of the address.
  • If playback is rough, try lowering playback quality in the app settings.

Android TV Or Google TV

Section titled “Android TV Or Google TV”

This includes many smart TVs and streaming boxes that use Google TV or Android TV.

App To Search: Jellyfin

Steps

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your TV or streaming box.
  2. Search for Jellyfin.
  3. Install the app and open it.
  4. Enter https://visionaryentertainment.duckdns.org as the server address.
  5. Sign in with your Visionary username and password.
  6. Choose something to watch.

Apple TV

Section titled “Apple TV”

Apple TV can use a Jellyfin-compatible app from the App Store.

Apps To Search: Jellyfin, Swiftfin

Steps

  1. Open the App Store on Apple TV.
  2. Search for Jellyfin or Swiftfin.
  3. Install the app and open it.
  4. Add the server address: https://visionaryentertainment.duckdns.org.
  5. Sign in with your Visionary username and password.
  6. Choose something to watch.

Smart TV Browser

Section titled “Smart TV Browser”

This is a backup option. It may work, but a dedicated app or streaming device is usually better.

Steps

  1. Open the built-in browser on your TV.
  2. Go to https://visionaryentertainment.duckdns.org.
  3. Sign in with your Visionary username and password.
  4. Choose something to watch.

Notes

  • Some TV browsers do not handle video playback well.
  • If playback is unreliable, use Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, a phone, tablet, or computer instead.

Game Consoles

Section titled “Game Consoles”

Some consoles may work through a built-in browser, but this is not the recommended main setup.

Steps

  1. Open the console web browser.
  2. Go to https://visionaryentertainment.duckdns.org.
  3. Sign in with your Visionary username and password.
  4. Try playing something.

Notes

  • Browser support varies by console.
  • If playback does not work, use a different device.

Quick Troubleshooting

Section titled “Quick Troubleshooting”
  1. Make sure the server address is typed correctly.
  2. Make sure the address starts with https://.
  3. Try opening Visionary in a web browser.
  4. Try another movie, show, or device if possible.
  5. Check Server Status.
  6. Use the Playback Issues guide if playback is the issue.
